Pacifica Honolulu is a luxury condo building originally developed by Hawaiian Dredging Company, however the company was forced to auction off the development around 2008 due to the housing market collapse. The development was picked back up by OliverMcMillan at a significant cost savings. OliverMcMillan invested back into the building by providing upgraded appliances and some fittings which was a huge perk to the early property investors.
The 492 unit building is constructed mostly of high tint reflective glass, concrete and has 4 central “smart elevators” which assist in getting tenants to their floors in the least amount of stops. At night, the signature Pacifica blue LED lights illuminate the core of the building making the building a signature addition to the Kakaako skyline.
The Pacifica recreation deck is located on the 5th floor and is perfect blend of urban city and modern style design and amenities. All reservations which are made for the amenities are done via smart phone app which makes managing availability and bookings very simple. The large gated pet friendly park makes this condo a pet lovers dream with off leash hours available after 7:00pm.
Indoor amenities include:
Men's & Women's Sauna
Two Movie Theaters
17 Guest Parking Stalls
Additional Tenant Storage Units
Outdoor amenities include:
Multiple Lounge Areas
Saltwater Infinity Pool
Saltwater Hot Tub
Gated Outdoor Pet Friendly Park
Pacifica Honolulu has a host of condo configurations from 1 bedroom 1 bath to 4 bedroom penthouse units. There are no lanais in any of the units however the windows do slide ajar for ventilation. Each residential floor 6 – 45 has 12 units per floor. Units with an ocean view are 03 – 10 and mountain-view units end in 01, 02, & 12.
All the windows of the units are double glazed which helps to reduce external noise and also create an energy efficient space. Air conditioning is central for every unit and easily accessible. Each unit is fitted with Frigidaire Gallery appliances.
Pacifica offers two main building facing views, the ocean side & the mountain side view. The only units that have both options are the penthouse level units and the end units which numbers end in 10 or 03.
The mountain views are stunning looking back toward Manoa Valley and the frequent rainbows and lush greenery are protected by the neighboring McKinley High School sports fields and the Neil S. Blaisdale parking lot. The ocean views are also unobstructed. There are however plans to further develop the area in front of the building in the coming years which may impact lower level unit views.
