Ālia will occupy Block I of the Our Kakaako Master Plan development. A joint development planned by Kamehameha Schools & Kobayashi Group in the Our Kakaako / SALT neighborhood. When completed, Ālia will stand at 400 feet tall with 477 new residential homes. During pre-construction sales, 40 homes will be made available in reserved housing (affordable housing program).
Ālia is among many new planned new condo developments in the Kaiāulu ʻo Kakaʻako Master Plan (KKMP) within Our Kakaʻako. Sales are expected to start in 2022, and construction is set to start in late 2023.
Ālia when translated means "salt bed" which pays tribute to the salt beds which used to occupy the area historically. 60% of the initial inventory for sale at Kahuina will be reserved for the affordable housing program as a commitment to increasing the affordability of housing in the dynamic and growing neighborhood of Kaka'ako.
Because this development is currently in the early planning and announcement phase, there is no pricing yet to be disclosed. However, typical units in comparable pre-construction phase usually offer pricing in the following price prices:
Homeowners can expect some incredible sweeping ocean views from most ocean front facing units. The initial renders showcase some interesting features like lanais and mixed layout floor to ceiling glass windows on some unit stacks.
Because this new development is early in the planning phase there is no solid information on floor plates yet but recent new developments by the same developers in the neighborhood offer studio, one, two and three bedroom layouts.
